Footpaths Group

                          

The Headcorn Footpaths Group is a group of people who believe in the maintenance of the local footpaths in and around Headcorn. They meet, usually on the first Sunday of each month, with an individual member leading the group. The annual membership fee is just £1.

The new 2008/09 programme is below. All walks are on Sundays and start at War Memorial at 2:30pm, unless otherwise stated:

Enjoy your walks with us, but please note that the Group cannot be responsible for any accident, injury, theft or damage. Note that dogs taken on the walks MUST be kept on a lead.

2009/10 Programme of walks

Boxing Day - 2.00pm Meet at War Memorial for walk to Brookwood (Approx 3 miles)

Sunday Jan 3rd - 2.30pm Meet at the War Memorial for local walk (Approx 2 miles) 3.30pm Tea at Methodist Hall

Sunday Feb 7th - 10.30am Meet at War Memorial to go by car to Newnham  (Approx 4 miles)

Sunday Mar 7th - 10.30am Meet at War Memorial to go by car to Rye Harbour for walk (Approx 5 miles) followed by fish & chips lunch.

Sunday Apr 4th - 2.30pm Meet at War Memorial for walk to Tong and Boy Court (Approx 5 miles). Bring a picnic.

Sunday May 2nd - 10.30am Meet at War Memorial to go by car to Kingswood Nr Molash (Approx 4.5 miles)

Sunday June 6th - 10.30am Meet at War Memorial to go by car to Sheldwich Lees.  (Approx 5 miles). Will stop at pub halfway.

Sunday July 4th 2.30pm Meet at War Memorial to to by car to Boy Court (Approx 4.5 miles).

Annual General Meeting will be held on June 11th 2009 at 8pm at No. 1 Church Walk, Headcorn.
