Footpaths Group

                          

The Headcorn Footpaths Group is a group of people who believe in the maintenance of the local footpaths in and around Headcorn. They meet, usually on the first Sunday of each month, with an individual member leading the group. The annual membership fee is just £1.

The new 2008/09 programme is below. All walks are on Sundays and start at War Memorial at 2:30pm, unless otherwise stated:

Enjoy your walks with us, but please notes that the Group cannot be responsible for any accident, injury, theft or damage. Note that dogs taken on the walks MUST be kept on a lead.

Sunday Sept 7th - 2.30pm Meet at the War memorial to go by car to Loose. Bring a picnic lunch. (Approx 4.5 miles)

Sunday Oct 5th - 2.30pm Meet at War Memorial to go by car to Smallhythe (Approx 5 miles)

Sunday Nov 2nd - 10.30am Meet at War Memorial for walk to Bletchenden (Approx 3 miles)

Sunday Dec 7th - 10.30am Meet at War Memorial for walk to Plumtrees and Blackmill. (Approx 3.5 miles)

Boxing Day - 2.00pm Meet at War Memorial for walk to Brookwood (Approx 3 miles)

Sunday Jan 4th - 2.30pm Meet at the War Memorial for local walk (Approx 2 miles) 3.30pm Tea at Methodist Hall

Sunday Feb 1st - 10.30am Meet at War Memorial to go by car to Leeds Village (Approx 4-5 miles)

Sunday Mar 1st - 10.30am Meet at War Memorial to go by car to Rye Harbour for walk (Approx 5 miles) followed by fish & chips lunch.

Sunday Apr 5th - 10.30am Meet at War Memorial for walk to Tong and Little Tilden (Approx 5 miles)

Sunday May 3rd - 10.30am Meet at War Memorial to go by car to Stalisfield Green for "Bluebell Walk" (Approx 4.5 miles)

Sunday June 7th - 2.30pm Meet at War Memorial to go by car to Thurnham. Bring picnic. (Approx 5 miles)

Sunday July 5th 2.30pm Meet at War Memorial to to by car to Sheldwich Lees (Approx 4.5 miles).

Annual General Meeting will be held on June 11th 2009 at 8pm at No. 1 Church Walk, Headcorn.
