The Headcorn Players
The Headcorn Players Present
New members
The Players are always seeking new members and would love to hear from anyone who would like to join our society. If you are interested in becoming involved in either an acting or backstage role please contact the General Secretary Emily O'Donnell on 01622 890273 or look at their new website http://www.headcornplayers.webs.com The Headcorn Players was formed over thirty-five years ago and since that time we have put on over 80 productions including comedies, dramas, variety shows, thrillers and pantomimes. We aim to perform around two or three productions every year. These take a lot of work with an amazing amount of different jobs being involved, but this brings a variety of people together and proves to be a lot of fun. The Society covers over three generations and a fair few sons and daughters have played against their parents! Being member of the Players doesn’t just mean acting. People are needed to help with set building, scenery painting, lighting and sound effects, costumes, make-up, directing, prompting and front-of-house to name but a few jobs. Most members try their hands to more then one thing; the star of one show may be the manager of the next! Anyone is welcome to try as little or as much as they have the time and inclination for. Our ‘theatre’ is Headcorn’s village hall. Over the years we have had a lot of fun and provided some good entertainment for Headcorn people to enjoy (and further afield!). We are always ready to welcome new people, so if you would like to join the Players or just see what makes us tick, get involved in acting or behind the scenes, or maybe just socialise, please contact Emily O'Donnell on 01622 890273.
